Honest Scrap

I’m way behind on blogging and had all intentions of catching up over the past week/weekend but, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.  If I am going to hell, my road is paved with a lot more than good intentions and I plan on riding there in a hand-basket decorated with lots of ribbons and bows but, they can add my plan of catching up to my road.

Anyway…

My friend, Cute~Ella, tagged me in a post the other day and I figured it would be a fun way to start off the week.  I have to post 10 facts about myself that you don’t know/I haven’t blogged about before and tag 6 other bloggers.

10 Facts

  1. Until three months ago, I had eight piercings.  Now I’m down to two.
  2. In high school, my best friend and I had a running joke where we would send romantic ecards to each other as if they were from this guy that we found particularly unappealing.
  3. I’m always conflicted about donating money to international organizations.
  4. I watch the Disney channel on a regular basis for no other reason than the shows on there aren’t depressing.
  5. I’ve never seen Forrest Gump.
  6. I’m am scared to death of going blind. It is by far my absolute worst fear. If I did though, I would want a miniature guide horse.
  7. When I was younger, my grandmother lived on a farm that had a fully functioning slaughterhouse.  My sister and I used to play hide and seek in it and play “store” at the counter.  Her house also had a bar in it and we used to take turns playing bartender…that one stuck I guess.
  8. There is not a Britney Spears song that I don’t know.
  9. For the first time in my life, I’m friends with someone I don’t actually want to be friends with.
  10. It’s taken me most of the day to do this because I keep thinking of things and then think “I can’t put that on the internet.”  I guess you’ll just have to ask me about those at the next #AlbanyTweetUp.

  1. I’m gonna do this here since I dont have a blog and dont want this on facebook or twitter directly.

    1. I have the education and mental capacity of a pHD scientist in Chemistry. Since circumstances turned out the way they did, I only have a masters degree, and I sometimes only show this level of knowledge/motivation.

    2. I have a black belt in Tang Soo Do. (havent practiced in 14 years, though)

    3. I think I’m really bad on telephones, so that leads to me not keeping in touch with people if not on the web/email. This is probably all in my head, but I hate not having something to say if I’m gonna call somebody.

    4. I’m open about the fact that I watch porn because I know that most people wouldnt judge me for it. Besides, who doesn’t watch porn? Might as well own it!

    5. I keep it simple and try to not pick up new hobbies. This is mainly because I get pretty engulfed in the hobbies I have.

    6. I started a myspace account in 2005 to “meet hot bitches.” I made alot of good friends (with hot bitches), but i’m not sure if I can claim these friends (due to shared connections with my soon-to-be ex significant other).

    7. I’ve never drunk dialed anyone and my first time drunk texting someone was this past Saturday night. When I looked at it the next day, I patted myself on the back because I did a damn good job for someone who drank as much as I did and is going through what I’m going through.

    8. I am very stubborn, and, although it may sometimes take a while, I will apologize for anything I do that may be wrong to someone. I like having a clear conscience.

    9. I’m excited to be getting back out into the single world, but I sometimes fear that I’m working with an old moveset. Believe it or not, the dating landscape is very different from what I remember it being [over 10 years ago].

    10. I didnt get into CD technology until 1993. When I did, the first 3 CDs I bought were Metallica – “…and Justice for All”, Stone Temple Pilots – “Core”, and Sade – “Love Deluxe”

    • Yay! Thanks for sharing!

#3 – I don’t think that I’m bad on the phone but I don’t like calling people. I much prefer sending text messages or something like that if I don’t have much to say. If I have a question, I’d rather text you than call you. That way you can answer at your convenience.

#9 – Congrats and just be yourself. It will work for you.

$10 – I never got into CDs. I love music but I just never wanted to buy CDs.
